I have this dream.\u00a0 It involves dinner.\u00a0 It consists of a family of five – father, mother and 3 daughters.\u00a0 There is an entire meal of peace.\u00a0 Everyone loves all the food on their plate and eats it without complaint or face-making.\u00a0 There is pleasant conversation at a reasonable volume.\u00a0 No singing or wild gesturing.\u00a0 Everyone stays seated and uses utensils.\u00a0 No one ends up with more food in their hair than in their mouth.\u00a0 There is no fussing, fighting or tattling.\u00a0 Manners are innate.\u00a0 Gastric emissions are neither heard nor smelled.\u00a0 The whole shebang lasts about 30 minutes.\u00a0 Everyone earns dessert by eating just enough to sustain life. This charade may one day progress to a venue other than in my own house.<\/p>\n
